This historic urban residence in Otrobanda facing the St. Anna Bay was an important restoration project. In October 1988 during its restoration, the south wing collapsed during heavy rainfall brought on by a hurricane. Through reconstruction and restoration, the building has been returned as much as possible to its original state. The arched gallery facing the bay however is not authentic; it was modified during reconstruction. This gallery was originally closed with window shutters. Today the building serves as a restaurant with four shops on the ground floor.
The project was realized in collaboration with architectural office H. Nolte and commissioned by Stichting Monumentenzorg Curaçao.
